Chord Sight

Dissatisfied with the options for chord-detecting VSTs and existing Max for Live devices, I created exactly what I needed; a Max for Live device that detects chords flexibly and cleanly, alternates and all.

Chord Sight shows note count, the note names, and has the option to factor in notes for a given period of time after they're released—helpful for putting melodies to chords and analyzing arpeggiated playing. Chord Sight automatically considers sustain pedal input, as well.
